BDBF 2018 Registration FAQs

Should I register as local or visiting team?
If your team is within 100 miles radius of Boston, then you are considered Local.
Outside of the 100 miles radius, then you should register your team as visiting.

Can I have any male paddlers on a women’s team?
The drummer and steerer may be male, all paddlers on a women’s crew must be

I want to register for a specific division such as finance, club, college, etc, but I can’t seem to find it on the registration page?
The divisions will be assigned / allocated after registration is closed. Team registration will close on 12th May 2018.

Can I change the name of my team after I registered online?
No. You shall have a team name at the time of registration. This will also be as a cross
reference for your payment and race weekend. A request may be sent to the
registration team via email < . We will do our best to
accommodate your request, but it’s not guaranteed.

What happens after I registered online?
Your team’s registration is considered pending until payment is received. Please allow 7 to 10 days to post your payment after postmark date.

When can I add people to the roster?
Once payment is received, you will receive notification that your Team Connect account has been activated, and the coach / team owner can start inviting/adding players to their roster.

When does the Team Connect roster need to be finalized?
Your final roster is due 01 June 2018 to allow for final race preparations. No changes will be allowed after the final roster has been downloaded by the festival.

When will I get to request my practice schedule?
Notification to sign up for practices will be sent to all CONFIRMED teams (payment received and Team Connect account activated). This will most likely be sent out in early April, prior to the start of on-water practice, currently 14th of May.

Are my requested practice sign ups guaranteed?
No, we have many teams to accommodate everyone’s scheduling requests. You will be given the opportunity to request practice, and you will receive a final CONFIRMATION of your scheduled dates. You may receive communication from the Scheduling Manager that some of your requested dates are not granted, but will be offered alternative dates.
